Some thoughts on present and future writing projects...

I'm really pleased with how well The Mark of The Guardian my free novella is being received! One lady even read it and wrote a little review for me to post on my website which I'm very excited about! The idea of having it be a freebie if someone signs up for my newsletter seems to be working very well. I've signed up several new people in the last week or so. One of my readers commented that  she'd like to see the story fleshed out into a full-blown novel which of course is a distinct possibility in my book.

I'm toying with the idea of having a second novella, though it's nearly novel length being a freebie when someone purchases GETTING OUT ALIVE. I'm considering starting that promo on November 1 and having it last until December 25th, a good period I think for the holidays. That way even if someone is planning on purchasing GOA as a gift then they will still receive the free novella as a bonus. A good idea I think.

Once I got my current contest which is to celebrate the release of The Mark of The Guardian, and is for a wonderful basket of bath goodies onto a well trafficed website I seem to be getting quite a bit of interest in that as well. I'll have to remember to use PNR Group website to advertise all my contests! I'm thinking about creating some t-shirts and book bags with the cover art from GETTING OUT ALIVE for the next contest and maybe even for sale, but we'll see. I still have to figure out costs on that one and if it's feasible.

I'm also purchasing some software that will help me write ads for my book and post them to various places for free. Found that little gem on e-bay. We'll see if it's everything it's cracked up to be.

I need to get cracking working some more on the next book THE KEEPERS OF ETERNITY. I want to release it in Spring of 2006 from Lulu again. I need to figure out what I'm going to do for the cover and do it as well enough in advance this time that I can post it on the website. Also if possible I want to send electronic copies out to reviewers a few months before release and see if that is better than waiting until the release. I've heard mixed views on that one from other authors.

Busy, busy, busy though. Here's to hoping people check out GOA for gifts for their relatives, fortunately, even though it's a scifi romance I seem to have both a male and female reader base which is cool.
